Cocktail Recipe: Warm up + unwind over a Martel Blue Swift Sidecar

With the cooler months on the horizon, and the busy holiday season is at an arms length away, we could all use a good way to unwind and warm up. The Martell Blue Swift Sidecar is the perfect way to-do just that.

The Sidecar, invented in France, said to have been most probably at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes on the French Riviera, is a great refreshing cocktail. It offers a bit of warmth from the cognac, with a touch of citrus. Why the Martell Blue Swift? Because of their signature distillation process, which allows for an exceptionally smooth and well rounded taste. But if you want to add a twist, just add a splash of pomegranate juice and bitters, and sip the night away.

What you’ll need for 1, or scale it up for more.

Ingredients:

It’s simple, trust us.

Instructions:

Serve it, with class.

Serving tips:

I recommend you serve the Martell Blue Switch Sidecar cocktail in an unusually shaped glass, crystal rock glass, or anything classy you can find at places like the Cocktail Emporium, Nordstrom Home section, etc.. Double-walled glasses keep cocktails colder for longer, so keep that in mind.

If you really want to up your cocktail Swagger, then splurge for some fancy ice cubes too. You can go for the iconic jumbo ice cubes which can be easily made in some silicone trays that make it WAY easier for you to pop-out. Otherwise splurge for a fancy cutter that can make them in pretty much any shape… even diamonds — if you’re looking to wow. 😉

¡Salud!
