J Balvin drops ‘Colores’ music videos from Isolation

In this highly stressful time of social distancing,  isolation, and depression for many, we all use a little more “color” in our lives — and much needed mental lifts.

Music is always one of those soul lifting gifts, and artists all over have been generously sharing their talents, offering hope and entertainment to us online. Last week we caught win that Reggaeton superstar J Balvin has joined the movement by launching a new live video series.

J Balvin teamed up with VEVO to create four original live performances from his new album, COLORES. The first “Amarillo”  that dropped last Friday, and “AZUL” dropped earlier today.

2 additional performances “NEGRO” (black in Spanish) and “ROJO” (red in Spanish) will be released later this week. All songs relate to colors–first being yellow, and second blue.

The sets are spacious rooms ranging from decadent halls to barren hallways, all coated in tinted plastic, and each set’s color is in theme with the song title. The concept was built in collaboration with Catalan artist Sergi Arbusa. When J Balvin fills these rooms with his sophisticated Reggaeton swagger, it’s magic.

“I’m so grateful that the team at Vevo helped me bring songs from my new album Colores to life.

I take the visual presentation of my music very seriously,

so it was great to work with a team of creators that hold their work to the same standard. Being able to share this special performance with you means everything to me since I can’t perform for you in person right now!” said J Balvin in an email to us earlier this week.

“Amarillo” and “Azul” bring a vibrant, breezy energy into the world right when we need it as we cope with staying home to help curve this pandemic. We’re looking forward to seeing the rest later this week. Time to enjoy good tunes, and dance a little–you’ll feel better, trust me.
