Rapper C.h.a.m.p set to release “Therapy” album about his 2019 shooting

Dallas Tx rapper C.h.a.m.p, most known from his hit single “Baby Debo” from his YOLO Ep, is set to release his debut studio album in March of 2022.

The album titled, “Therapy,” is said to detail C.h.a.m.p’s childhood and his experience after his fatal shooting on August 31, 2019, in which he claims to have died and come back to life after undergoing a gunshot to the head.

Born in Mesquite, Texas, Nathaniel Glen Miller Jr. was drawn to music from his days as a youth. Multifaceted and talented, he also was widely known as the footballer that had a promising career ahead of him. That all changed on August 31st, 2019, when a bullet pierced his skull. C.h.a.m.p’s upcoming album will discuss his general mindframe and mental battles within his 5 months in rehabilitation, in which C.h.a.m.p has said, “changed his life for the better and for the worse.” Often compared to infamous rapper 50 cent, C.h.a.m.p claims to still have metal fragments in his head two years later. 

C.h.a.m.p (Change Happens at My Pace) has so far released two EPs titled “Paper Route” and “YOLO,” his most prominent song being Baby Debo, which most fans have deemed the artist’s alias. Just now approaching the 6 month mark as an artist, C.h.a.m.p has already amassed over 200k streams across all platforms. Featured in mainstream publications such as The Source Magazine, Allhiphop and All Rap News, the rapper is projected to make a dent in the rap game with his upcoming project.
