The Belgian DJ and producer joins TUDOR’s Born to Dare family, bringing her boundary-breaking career and unmistakable style to the Swiss luxury watchmaker.
Charlotte de Witte has never been one to follow the crowd. Now, one of the most influential names in electronic music is bringing that same independent spirit to luxury watchmaking as the newest brand ambassador for TUDOR.
The Belgian DJ and producer, celebrated for her dark, minimalist sound and commanding stage presence, joins the Swiss watchmaker’s Born to Dare campaign, which recognizes individuals who challenge conventions and forge their own paths.
For de Witte, that philosophy has been a defining part of her career.
From Underground Techno to Global Stardom
Long before performing on some of the world’s biggest stages, de Witte began her career under the alias Raving George, adopting a male-sounding stage name to navigate gender barriers within the electronic music industry.
What followed was a remarkable rise through the international techno scene.
Named DJ Mag’s World’s Number 1 Techno DJ for seven consecutive years, de Witte has established herself as a defining force in the genre. She made history as the first female techno artist to close Tomorrowland’s main stage and became the first female headliner in the Detroit Movement Festival’s 23-year history.
Her performances have taken her everywhere from Coachella and Lollapalooza to the Las Vegas Sphere, while her independent record labels, KNTXT and Epoque, have expanded her influence beyond the DJ booth.
Her commitment to originality and creative independence makes her a fitting addition to TUDOR’s roster of ambassadors.
A New Face for TUDOR’s Born to Dare Campaign
Introduced in 2017, TUDOR’s Born to Dare philosophy celebrates the determination to challenge expectations, a quality reflected in both the watchmaker’s heritage and its ambassadors.
The partnership also brings one of TUDOR’s distinctive timepieces into the spotlight.
In the campaign imagery, de Witte wears the TUDOR Black Bay 54 “Lagoon Blue,” a striking stainless steel timepiece featuring a 37mm case, textured blue dial and polished five-link bracelet.
Powered by TUDOR’s Manufacture Calibre MT5400, the watch offers approximately 70 hours of power reserve and water resistance up to 200 metres, combining the brand’s technical watchmaking expertise with a contemporary aesthetic.
The vibrant blue dial offers an unexpected contrast to de Witte’s signature dark, understated personal style, proving that a statement watch doesn’t need to compete for attention.
For TUDOR, the partnership brings together two worlds connected by precision, individuality and an unwillingness to compromise on their identity.
And for Charlotte de Witte, whose career has been built on doing things her own way, it marks another milestone in a journey that continues to defy expectations.
