Ratajkowski, most recently seen on Instagram pictured in both her bikini at the resort—and laid out bottoms up naked out on the ocean shore—definitely isn’t the first celeb to stay at the Cuixmala luxury resort.

Since its official opening as a hotel: Mick Jagger, Madonna, and Bill Gates, among others, have all been guests. Besides it’s typical “casitas”—or one to three bedrooms—the resort also has five one-bedroom bungalows and one two-bedroom bungalow, that can go up to the astronomical cost of $5,800 a night during high season.

The Robert Couturier-designed 25,000-acre hotel, once a private estate, was formerly owned by British-French billionaire Sir James Goldsmith. When he purchased it in the late 1980s, as a dedicated conservationist, Goldsmith turned much of the land surrounding the property into a wildlife sanctuary.

In 2009, his daughter Alix Goldsmith Marcaccini decided to convert a portion of the property, including Goldsmith’s own Robert Couturier–designed mansion on the grounds, into the Casa Cuixmala hotel—the same one Ratajkowski has been basking around at.

An award-winning luxury resort, Cuixmala has received a number of accolades and recognitions. In 2014, it was granted the Smith Hotel Award for its excellent local food-sourcing practices. Because of its different approach to tourism, supporting a vast nature reserve, it also received a Global Vision Award in the same year.

In 2015, Cuixmala bagged two major awards, too. For its excellence in the global travel and tourism industry, it was named Mexico’s Leading Beach Resort and received the World Responsible Tourism Award.
