Szanto Automatic Officers’ Series 6200
The Szanto Automatic Officers’ watches are unique among watches made by Time Concepts, and for the Szanto brand, as one of only two fully polished collections in the brand, with its dressier appearance befitting an officer’s status. The cushion chape 42.5mm 316L stainless steel case and screw-in case back with crystal to view the movement, and wire lugs that attach to a supple, 22mm soft calfskin strap, make for a very comfortable wearing timepiece, and its push crown with double O-rings help to ensure its 100 meters water resistance. The watch has a guilloche patterned dial under a highly scratch resistant K1 crystal, and runs on a Miyota 25-jewel Japanese automatic movement, with a small seconds subdial and a 24-hour tracking subdial. Dial options are black, crème or silver, with straps of black or dark brown, and the straps have easy on/off fingernail pull spring pins that enable easy strap changes in seconds without a tool so one can switch straps to arrive a fresh look easily. All versions convey a very elegant look, much richer than its $395 suggested retail price. If you’d like the look of a high-end luxury timepiece, even suitable for black tie events, but at a much more affordable price, the Officers’ Automatic series 6200 (or the alternate round-case version series 6300), this is the watch is for you.
