RADO’S FANTASY FESTIVE ADVENTURE FOR HOLIDAY GIFT GIVING

Rado, a leader in luxury timepieces, has launched its 2025 festive campaign that reveals three watches that embody design innovation, Swiss craftsmanship, and lifestyle integration.

Top-rate materials are the only choice for Rado watches. Hardness and scratch-resistance alone are not enough: durability and wearer comfort are always priorities. All three timepieces represent the expertise of Rado: its contemporary approach to design, its use of cutting-edge materials and its modern manifestation of Swiss watchmaking.

Festive Glitter and Sparkle – introducing the new True Square Open Heart (White + Polished Plasma – $4,500 CAD)

Imagine gifting magic—a timepiece that transforms every glance into a moment of discovery, where inspired engineering meets aesthetic and legacy. That watch would be the newly-released Swiss-made True Square Open Heart by Rado.

Anyone who sees the fine timepiece will be wowed by the diamond-like granular finish (born of a bespoke Rado fabrication technique) on its silvery-coloured dial, and its 12 diamond indexes that collectively capture the sparkle of snowflakes.

Breathtaking is the word to describe the square case and bracelet in polished white high-tech ceramic that frame an innovative new dial.

A world of crystal, snow and ice forms a wintry backdrop for the True Square Open Heart. A low-relief grey minute track surrounds rose gold-coloured hour, minute and second hands. The intriguing cut-away design invites a close-up look at the Rado calibre R734, a 25-jewel, 3-hand automatic movement with a remarkable 80-hour power reserve.

With their twelve diamond hour markers, sparkling dials and high-tech ceramic bracelets and cases, the new Open Heart models exude the dazzling look and feel of a festive occasion.

A Cascade of Golden Stars – Captain Cook Chronograph Black ($8,500 CAD)

Rado’s Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph features two-tone black high-tech ceramic, with polished components contrasting against a matte case. Style is the name of the game, with rose gold-coloured embellishments. Its opulent aesthetic elevates it beyond a mere sports watch, to an accessory that feels perfect for the celebratory season.

Performance, naturally, is a powerful feature. Its chronograph, driven by a Rado calibre R801 automatic movement and featuring a 59-hour power reserve, provides astonishing accuracy that’s just right for adventures at altitude, while its water resistance, to 30 bar (300m) provides practicality to the greatest depths.

The Glow of Seasonal Spirit – Centrix Automatic Diamonds ($6,500 CAD)

In the land of the Centrix Diamonds, it’s all about pure elegance and extravagance.

Step through a sparkling circular portal – a clear nod to the watch’s diamond-filled bezel. Set on a rose gold-coloured bracelet featuring polished brown high-tech ceramic middle links, its sense of extravagance is balanced by its bijou size. With a case diameter of just 35mm, this is a fine Swiss watch masquerading as jewellery – the ideal gift.

This setting reflects the watch’s 71 Top Wesselton, VS-SI, full-cut, naturally occurring gemstones and the organic elegance of its brown mother-of-pearl dial.

From the bold Captain Cook to the elegant Centrix, to the glittery True Square Open Heart, their collections showcase the diversity and innovation that define Rado.

Indeed, Rado is your destination not just for the perfect gift, but the perfect legacy piece.

Founded in 1917 in Lengnau, Switzerland, Rado has established itself as a forward-thinking watchmaker, being referred to as the “Master of Materials” in the global watch industry. The brand philosophy, “if we can imagine it, we can make it. And if we can make it, we will,” still holds true today.

Key milestones in Rado’s impressive history include the iconic scratch-resistant watch launched in 1962, pioneering high-tech ceramic in watchmaking in the 1980s, the monobloc injected ceramic case, and the introduction of touch technology in a ceramic watch.

Its groundbreaking approach to design has been recognized with more than 30 international design prizes.

The three timepieces perfectly embody Rado’s values and principles to a T. It’s always about iconic style, a contemporary approach to design, the finest materials, and its consistency of quality Swiss watchmaking.
