Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh and Robert Pattinson lead the cast as Denis Villeneuve returns to Arrakis for the final chapter.
The end is coming to Arrakis.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures are officially bringing Dune: Part Three to theatres this December, marking the conclusion of Denis Villeneuve’s sprawling sci-fi trilogy.
Set nearly two decades after Paul Atreides seized control of the Imperium, the new film finds Paul no longer the reluctant young heir audiences first met in Dune. Now a ruthless Emperor, he is forced to reckon with the consequences of his reign as old allies return, new threats emerge and betrayal closes in from every direction.
Haunted by visions of the Imperium’s collapse and the reappearance of his long-lost love, Paul becomes entangled in a much larger conspiracy — one that places Chani at the centre of its unfolding mystery.
As his enemies move closer, Paul is forced to confront what his pursuit of power has cost him and what it could still cost the people he loves.
Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides alongside Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach de Bankolé, Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson and Javier Bardem.
Villeneuve directs from a screenplay written with Brian K. Vaughan and based on Frank Herbert’s novels.
The filmmaker has also assembled another major team behind the camera, including cinematographer Linus Sandgren, production designer Patrice Vermette, editor Joe Walker, costume designer Jacqueline West, visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert and composer Hans Zimmer.
The first two films turned Herbert’s famously dense sci-fi universe into one of Hollywood’s biggest modern franchises, pairing massive-scale filmmaking with political intrigue, family drama and some of the most ambitious visuals of the last several years.
Now, Dune: Part Three is preparing to bring Villeneuve’s version of the story to its conclusion.
Dune: Part Three arrives in theatres and IMAX across North America on December 18, 2026, with the international rollout beginning December 16.
