Dining at Nello was a truly special experience that I’ll remember for a long time to come.
I couldn’t find a single fault with the restaurant – they manage to make everything truly perfect. From the moment I arrived, I was enthusiastically greeted and seated immediately in a beautifully decorated dining room with outstanding floral arrangements that I was told were created by the owner, Marcia Makkos.
My waiter, Stefano, is an excellent fit for this space given his refined demeanor and clear knowledge of all the restaurant’s offerings. I ordered the lobster bisque and spaghetti carbonara and could not be happier with my choices. The bisque was creamy, decadent and full of fresh, delicious lobster meat and the carbonara dish was made with fresh pasta in a thick, creamy sauce with prosciutto that tasted amazing. The chef, John really outdid himself with this unforgettable meal that will surely have me coming back for more.
Owing to its quality, like the rest of the menu at Nello, it’s easy to see the cost of the dishes is definitely justified. I think that everyone should treat themselves to a visit to experience one of the best culinary experiences that New York City has to offer.
