HexClad Takes Its Signature Hybrid Technology From the Stovetop to the Oven

The cookware brand enters a new category with its first Hybrid Bakeware Collection, bringing its signature technology to cakes, brownies, sourdough and more.

Earlier this year, SWAGGER joined Gordon Ramsay and HexClad for an intimate dinner at Linny’s in Toronto, where the chef shared the story behind his relationship with the cookware brand.

Before putting his name behind HexClad, Ramsay brought the pans into the kitchen at his three-Michelin-star Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London and put them through the demands of real service. It was a fitting introduction to a brand that built its reputation around cookware designed to perform beyond the average home kitchen.

Now, HexClad is taking that same philosophy somewhere new.

The brand has officially introduced its first Hybrid Bakeware Collection, a four-years-in-the-making expansion that brings HexClad’s signature technology from the stovetop to the oven.

The six-piece collection combines stainless steel with a heavy-gauge 2.5 mm tri-ply aluminum core and TerraBond Bake ceramic nonstick, designed to deliver even heat, easy release and the durability HexClad has become known for.

And this isn’t simply the brand’s existing cookware reshaped into cake pans.

The collection was specifically engineered for baking, including more delicate batters where consistent heat and a clean release can make or break the final result. Stainless-steel peaks across the Hybrid surface create space for hot air to circulate beneath food, while the aluminum core is designed to heat quickly and evenly while resisting twisting and warping in the oven.

SWAGGER recently had the opportunity to put the new collection to the test firsthand during an exclusive preview with chef and sourdough expert Matthew James Duffy.

Throughout the experience, we used the collection to make brownies, pizza and sourdough, giving us the chance to see how HexClad’s Hybrid technology performs across very different kinds of baking.

And the nonstick performance stood out immediately.

From brownies releasing cleanly from the pan to working with dough and other baked dishes, we were impressed by just how easily food released from the surface. It’s one thing to read about nonstick technology on a product sheet; it’s another to actually bake with it and see the results firsthand.

The experience also made HexClad’s move into bakeware feel like a natural next chapter for the brand. The substantial construction that helped make its cookware recognizable is still there, but it has been adapted for a category where heat distribution, release and consistency matter just as much as durability.

What’s Included in the HexClad Hybrid Bakeware Collection?

Priced at $499 CAD, the six-piece set includes a 9-by-13-inch rectangular cake pan, two 9-inch round cake pans, an 8-by-8-inch square cake pan, a 10-by-15-inch medium baking sheet and a stainless-steel cooling rack designed to fit inside the baking sheet.

That covers considerably more territory than cakes alone.

The collection is designed for everything from brownies, cookies and cinnamon rolls to layer cakes and other delicate bakes, while the baking sheet can just as easily handle savory recipes like pizza and everyday sheet-pan meals.

The pans are oven-safe up to 900°F, metal-utensil safe and dishwasher safe, and are backed by HexClad’s lifetime warranty. The TerraBond Bake ceramic nonstick coating is also made without PFAS.

It’s an ambitious first move into a category filled with kitchen staples people tend to own for years, which perhaps explains why HexClad spent four years developing it.

For a company that became known for rethinking the frying pan, moving from the stovetop into the oven feels less like a departure and more like the next step.

And with holiday baking season around the corner, the timing couldn’t be much better.

The HexClad Hybrid Bakeware Collection is available as a six-piece set for $499 CAD, with individual pieces expected to become available in the future.
