How to Throw a Killer Bachelor Party in Las Vegas

Sailun Tires

Some refer to Las Vegas as the “entertainment capital of the world.” There is a reason for this, of course. Las Vegas is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the planet. Vegas is an easy weekend getaway for people that live in the western United States, but people from all over the world are constantly flocking to the Nevada desert for a number of reasons.

While some opt to actually get married in Las Vegas, it is also a popular site for bachelor and bachelorette parties. I can scarcely think of a more apt destination for a “one last hurrah” before getting married than Sin City itself. Obviously, if you’re throwing a party in Vegas, you’re going to want it to be an epic event that nobody will ever forget.

Fortunately, Las Vegas has something for everybody. If you want a relaxing bachelor party, Vegas has you covered. If you want an action-packed, no-holds-barred type of bachelor party, they can help you out with that, too.

This article merely scratches the surface regarding all you need to know about Vegas. You can find a complete guide to Las Vegas here that will (hopefully) answer any other questions you may have. So, here’s how you can throw a killer bachelor/bachelorette party in Las Vegas.

Keep the Group Size Small

Bachelor and bachelorette parties are typically designed for the future groom or bride to enjoy a fun time with their closest friends and family members. Group sizes obviously vary depending on how many guests the bachelor or bachelorette wants to invite, but keeping your group size between 8 and 10 people is probably the best way to enjoy a fun time in Las Vegas.

Quite simply, any group bigger than 10 (or so) runs the risk of getting split up, and there is a good chance that everyone won’t be able to sit at the same table for lunch or dinner. While “the more, the merrier” applies to some parties, a bachelor or bachelorette party in Vegas should probably run about 10 deep. Otherwise, you’re running the risk of people dividing themselves into certain groups, which could lead to unnecessary drama.

Obviously, the last thing you want for your big weekend is drama. Keeping the group fairly tight is a good way to keep everything in order. Plus, costs can run high if you have too many people tagging along.

Set a Budget

Nobody wants to be worrying about money during what is supposed to be a fun getaway, but it’s vital to set a budget for yourself before hitting the town. Las Vegas isn’t cheap, so finding the right hotel plus trying to estimate how much meals and other activities will cost you is the first thing you should consider. You can find cheap meals in Vegas, but joining a casino resort player’s club is a good way to get discounts on certain things that could help you keep overall costs lower than they otherwise would have been.

It’s also a good idea to load up on drinks and snacks before you get to Vegas. Hotels and stores nearby the Strip are more than happy to jack up the prices of everyday items, so making a quick trip to your local liquor or grocery store before getting to town will help you save money. Bringing your own beer and food from home is a smart way to make sure you don’t run up an expensive room service bill.

Use Rideshares

While everything may look close together on the Strip, it is actually about 4 miles long. Frankly, it’s a bigger area than it may appear. As a result, walking from casino-to-casino can be quite time consuming, especially if you’re having to navigate the massive crowds and other people along the way. Using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft is a quick and convenient way to get from place-to-place.

These services are also going to be more cost-effective than hailing an old-school taxi. You may have to wait in a designated line for a taxi at your hotel, but if you order an Uber or Lyft via your mobile device you can be on your way more quickly. You may also be interested in ordering a limousine or a party bus as a more fun way to traverse Vegas. Having said that, one of the best option here is Limo Find, all you need to do is go to their website and you are good to go!

These won’t be cheap, but they are a good way to get the full Sin City experience.

Keep the Planning to a Minimum

As mentioned, there will be no shortage of things to do once you get to Las Vegas. The city has all the restaurants, bars, shows, concert venues, sporting events and other recreational activities you could ever want. While you may have to make a reservation for a helicopter tour or try to get on a list for a nightclub, keeping the planning to a minimum is probably for the best. And don’t forget to add some decors or props for social media posting such as bachelorette hashtags to make it more trendy and modern.

Frankly, you don’t really know what’s going to happen from one day to the next. Maybe you and your group won’t even wake up until noon if you were up late the night before. Plans can change in an instant in this town. So, while certain plans may be required, a good way to make sure you have a stress-free bachelor/bachelorette party is to avoid overplanning.

Split Costs

The bachelor or bachelorette throwing the party shouldn’t necessarily be the person paying for everything. While that person should foot at least some of the cost, one way to keep things fair is to make sure that everyone invited chips in a little bit. Splitting the costs of the rooms, meals and everything else is a good way to make sure everybody enjoys their trip. It’s also something you should obviously discuss during the planning stages of your trip. Don’t spring this on your party once everyone is already in Las Vegas.

There are plenty of do’s and don’ts when it comes to planning your Las Vegas bachelor or bachelorette party. Here’s hoping this guide gave you at least a general idea regarding how to make sure your get-together is as fun and safe as can be. Your primary goal if planning your party in Vegas should be to have a good time.
