Vario Empire Art Deco Watch

Sailun Tires

Art Deco is a visual style from 20s through to the 40s known for its sleek geometry, elegant typography and bold designs. If you are a fan of the Art Deco style or if you’re looking to add a dress watch with character into your collection without breaking the bank, one of the best modern examples of a quality Art Deco watch is the Vario Empire Watch which is a nice alternative to mainstream brands for higher end dress watches.

This is a vintage inspired dress watch with completely custom-made parts; No stock parts were used for this watch meaning it is a truly unique timepiece for the modern gentleman. With a watch case diameter of 38mm, this modern dress watch is suitable for wrist sizes of a wide range. The case itself evokes the bold geometric Art Deco form while the 3-section dial steals the show. The Arabic numerals are typical of what you will find in the Art Deco period which is modern looking even a century later and the central disc is filled with a radiant guilloche pattern while the minute and seconds hand track the outer markers which completes the Art Deco streamline look.

The watch is offered on a handwound Miyota 6T33 movement and automatic Seiko NH38A movement, both of which are great Japanese workhorses that rivals their Swiss counterparts in terms of reliability at a fraction of their price. The Vario Empire will be delivered on the buyer’s choice of one of Vario’s new Hermes style strap or one of their well regarded Harris Tweed style which works equally well in terms of style and comfort.

If you’re looking for an excellent dress watch with character and style, the Vario Empire is a good choice. The watch will be offered on Kickstarter at $218 to early birds (sold out), and $238 plus $20 shipping thereafter. Standard pricing after the campaign will be around $348. Regardless of which price you pay, the watch is well worth it. Whether you’re a fan of the Art Deco or looking for a dress watch with character, you are going to love the statement that Vario Empire can make.
